Work involved: Hotel conversion into luxury apartments which included exterior and interior rendering and complete exterior and interior decorative mouldings.
Classic Plaster Mouldings was asked to carry out the exterior and interior restoration of the Grand Hotel in Plymouth. The historic building was to be renovated back to its former glory and transformed into luxury apartments.
In the past, the renowned hotel had hosted the likes of royalty, this brought Plymouth into the spotlight, giving it a reputation for luxury hotels. However, the hotel had been empty since a fire in 2003 so the restoration was to bring new life back into the building.
In order to save the original features of the hotel, a detailed design brief was put into place, with plans of restoring the hotel as development continued. Our experienced craftsmen replicated and renovated the exterior decorative mouldings through research and study of the original features. Each room and stairwell inside the building was designed and restored to complete the building and its stunning period features.
